Fabulous sepia promo photo from "Cab Calloway, Inc." of Cab's fabulous trio of singers and dancers, the Three Choclateers (Paul Black, Willie West and James Fairbanks) who traveled with Cab's band in the 1940s. Unfortunately, this is one of those annoying autographs where the signer signed not his name, but the name of the group, it's signed, "To Francis, Best Wishes, Your Pals, 3 Choclateers, 2/27/44". From comparing to other signatures I have of the Choclateers, this appears to be in the hand of Paul Black. In this wonderfully goofy image, the magazine the trio is eyeballing is "Mademoiselle".
