From the All Music Guide:
Remember the days when Kate Hudson's mom was "the next big thing?" The days when you could say "Dick" on TV and mean it? The days when TV was "veeeery interesting"? You bet your bippy you do! Well now those days are back -- sort of. If only for a half-hour, you can now relive the golden age of Goldie Hawn (and her riotous gang of funny friends) on this soundtrack to one of the most varied variety shows to ever grace the little screen. From a Russian rendition of "Mame," a chorus line of joking judges, a heroic march for barn animal rights, and a truly laughable lyric line to a newscast that admits to predicting the news before it happens, it's all here. Even the infamous "joke wall" makes an invisible appearance or two. So join Dick and Dan, Goldie, Judy, Arte, Ruth, Joanne, Henry, Larry, the resonant Gary, and Groblar the Friendly Grelb for a comedic cocktail party the likes of which shall sadly never swing again.

The tracks are:
1 Cuckoo Laugh-In World 2:11
2 Monologue and Cocktail Party 4:18
3 New Talent 2:58
4 Personality of the Week 1:57
5 News Past, Present, and Future 3:51
6 Etcetera 1:57
7 Halftime :41
8 Here Come da Judge 1:31
9 Cocktail Party 2:44
10 Sock It to Me 2:43
11 Mod Mod World 4:00
12 The Cuckoos 1:54
13 Goodnight Dick 3:34

PLEASE NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all of the LPs we are offering are used. Our grading system for each LP is strictly visual, as we don't have time to listen to each record from beginning to end. "Louis Maistros has written a lyrical, complex, and brave novel that takes enormous risks and pulls them all off. He is a writer to watch and keep reading, a writer to cherish."
Peter Straub

"The Society of North American Magic Realists welcomes its newest, most dazzling member, Louis Maistros. His debut novel is a thing of wonder, unlike anything in our literature. It startles. It stuns. It stupefies. No novel since CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES has done such justice to New Orleans. If Franz Kafka had been able to write like Peter Straub, this might have been the result."
Donald Harington,
Winner of the Robert Penn Warren Award and the Oxford-American Lifetime Achievement Award.

“The Sound of Building Coffins is easily one of the finest and truest pieces of New Orleans fiction I've ever read.”
- Poppy Z. Brite

“One has to write with considerable authenticity to pull off a story steeped in magic and swamp water that examines race and class, death and rebirth, Haitian voodoo, and the beginnings of jazz in 1891 New Orleans...The plot is complex and magical, grounded in the history of the city, without being overly sentimental. There is a comfort with death as a part of life in this work that reveals deep feeling for the city and its past....Highly recommended for all fiction collections, especially where there is an interest in jazz."
