This is a great souvenier program of Armstrong's 1960s All Star group, featuring articles by Ed Sullivan, Jimmy Breslin, and Ralph Gleason. Also packed with rare photos and an interesting story about Joe Glaser, the club owner turned prolific jazz manager (as well as the best man at Armstrong's wedding). Signed by Armstrong, Marty Napolean (piano), Jewel Brown (vocal), Danny Barcelona (Drums), Buddy Catlett (bass), Joe Muranyi (clarinet) and Tyree Glenn (trombone). Muranyi is known as the last clarinetist in Armstrong's All Star group, having replaced Buster Bailey, who in turn replaced Edmond Hall and sometimes Peanuts Hucko. (the photo in the program is not of Muranyi but of Buster Bailey, although Muranyi signed). Tyree Glenn was truly a star in his own right, playing vibes and trombone for Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington in the 1940s and 50s. Program measures 9"x12" with 24 pages and is in VG condition.
