Offered here is a songwriting contract that sells the rights to two songs co written by the great Billie Holiday to the Edward B. Marks Music Corporation.
The two songs referred to in the contract are "Preacher Boy" and "Who Needs You?", both compostions co-written by Billie Holiday and Jeanne Burns.
The contract is signed by Jeanne Burns and Ms. Holiday's widower, Louis McKay. Mr, McKay has also handwritten his NYC street address below his signature..
The Billie Holiday Estate was in a bad sate of affairs immediately following her death, which may explain the "fire sale" of some of her song rights.
